HELP THE CHILDRENAfter working in education for the last 40 years, I would now like to concentrate my efforts into helping those children , who don’t get absolutely no education. In Afrika but also in parts of Asia, there are still areas without schools. My aim is to built schools in those places and to ensure that the children can go to school. I am going to see to it personally by being on the spot and helping the inhabitants to built the school and furnish them. By personally being there and using the local people, I can guarentee that every euro will be used well. For this plan I have established with four other enthusiastic people a foundation called : CHILDCARE EDUCATION FOUNDATION. This charity is registered by a solicitor and the Chamber of Commerce by number. 65345703 To collect money for this charity I have made the following plan: The 19the of April I am going to make a very long bike journey from Arnhem to Santiago de Compostela. Via Flanders, Normandy, Brittany, Bordeaux, Lourdes, The Pyrenees, Pamplona, Burgos and finally the westcoast of Spain Santiago de Compostela. More than 2400 kilometers. As a real pilgrim I want use any hotels or boarding/houses. I will be tough with myself and sleep next to my bike. More than thirty days `roughing-it` to achieve my aim: Education for the poorest children. |
